Hello, my name is Dr. Stefani Ward, and I am the founder of Rewarding Wellness, LLC. I live in Pennsylvania with my family and our adorable black lab mix. I am a former competitive Powerlifter, and dedicate some time each day to my training and nutrition goals. I love everything about lifting: the structure, the clear goals, and how progress is defined by small, achievable goals. My family and I also love mountain biking! We try to get out as many weekends as we can while it's nice out to hit the trails or the local Mountain Bike Parks.
I am an avid gardener, and spend much of my free time with my hands in the dirt, growing entirely too many tomatoes for my family and neighbors. Basically if there is a hobby that gets you outside, I have probably tried it. Nothing makes me feel better than to get outside, breathe some fresh air, and "touch grass" as my kids say.
I love comedy, whether it is movies, TV shows, or stand-up, and humor plays a huge role in my work and daily life. I have always believed that rapport, or a personal connection with your clients, is the single greatest predictor of success, and it is important to me that my clients feel as though they know who I am personally. I don't hold back: you will get the "me" that everyone gets, for better or worse (LOL).
Professionally, I graduated from Lehigh University in 2004 with a B.A. in Psychology, and then went on to obtain a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology as well as a law degree (J.D.) from Widener University in 2010. I am a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT), Certified Nutrition Coach, and am working toward a Group Exercise Instructor Certification as well (2026). I worked for many years throughout graduate school and beyond in the Autism Community, as a Therapeutic Staff Support and a Mobile Therapist for children on the Autism spectrum. I then went on to work with adults with Autism as a Behavior Health Specialist, supporting adults in meeting their individual goals at home and in their communities. From there, I worked as a Resident Psychologist at two group practices, specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders, Autism Spectrum disorders, ADHD, and depression, as well as Psycho-Educational assessment.
Like many of you, I found my work and home life to be tremendously impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic. As difficult as it was to transition from working in the office to working fully at home, it taught me the true importance of finding balance. As difficult as it was to do, I made the decision to step away from the traditional therapy practice to focus on a virtual coaching practice that could serve more individuals with a broader range of needs. It also gives me more flexibility and time to support my family and manage my household, which also means I have more time for you!
Coaching is not therapy, but it honors that we all need support sometimes. Coaching offers the benefits of increased flexibility and more open communication that my clients and I have come to absolutely adore. I specialize in working with young adults, working profressionals, and busy parents to maintain work-life balance and overall wellness in this busy and ever-changing world.
So many of us thrive on external accountability, and sometimes all we need to flourish is the knowledge that someone else cares whether we accomplish our daily tasks and goals. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me, and I look forward to getting to know a lot about you!
